Momentum- Windham began offering Community Supports in 2008. Our primary focus involves increasing community inclusion through participation in outdoor recreational activities including but not limited to kayaking, fishing, bicycling, trail- hiking, and overnight camping trips. We also offer indoor rock climbing, bowling, karate, art, music, and writing groups. Many individuals volunteer at Black Brook Preserve here in Windham, building and maintaining trails. Windham is located only 20 minutes from Portland, which allows us access to other activities such as state parks, sporting events, and the ocean. As always, we continue our full involvement in Special Olympics athletics by training and competing year-round.
